GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: 

The Program Developer – Continuing Education (CE) serves as a critical support resource for CE learners while advancing innovative programming, cross-campus partnerships, and corporate training initiatives.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide CE students across personal enrichment, open enrollment, certificate programs, and articulated career pathways.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum pathways and program sequences aligned with workforce trends and learner needs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of CE-wide initiatives aimed at program innovation and enhanced student engagement.
  • Coordinate and manage selected corporate training products and events, ensuring high-quality delivery and instructor support.
  • Facilitate the recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of corporate and CE instructors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of CE programs into broader institutional goals.
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

  • Identify opportunities for new programs or enhancements based on student feedback and industry needs.

  • Exhibit professionalism and adaptability in managing multiple projects across varying timelines and stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure high levels of instructor satisfaction and engagement through clear communication and supportive management.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work.  Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing. 
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or related field, or at least five years of responsibility/experience in program development, coordination, or administration in an education, business or relevant environment.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: 

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
