Iowa County Health Department is seeking a full-time administrator to lead the Public Health Department in protecting and promoting the health and well-being of our community. This is a unique opportunity to guide a rural public health department that includes a Home Health Agency dedicated to serving county residents.

Reporting to the Board of Health, the Director provides overall leadership of department operations and budget, coordinating efforts to advance the county’s public health mission. This role establishes strategic direction, oversees staff and various grant programs, and uses community health data to identify priorities and implement effective solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Registered Nurse (BSN) with a current Iowa license and relevant leadership experience
  OR
• Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), or a closely related field and relevant leadership experience
