Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking a Certified Coder with experience to join our multi-specialty organization.  

 

Responsibilities include designating appropriate CPT and ICD-10-CM codes and selecting appropriate level of service for consults, office calls, hospital visits and surgery.

 

Duties: 

• This individual will also ensure that the appropriate principal procedures are selected and sequenced correctly.
• Will also ensure appropriate/supporting documentation is part of the medical record for any claim filed.
• Certified Coders will also meet periodically with our providers to discuss coding trends and provide training as needed.
• This individual will also generate internal coding audits for our providers when requested and assist in presenting those findings.

 

Requirements:

• The qualified candidate will be a certified coder, will have excellent communication skills, and must work well with a variety of coworkers.
• 3-5 years coding experience preferred.  Must also have a high level of comfort in working with computer systems.
