Radiation Safety Specialist

Assure proper and safe use of radioactive materials by the university and Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) community by conducting radiation safety evaluations, audits and inspections and developing and administering programs that promote safe use and assure regulatory compliance. Work with investigators and researchers to promote and assure the proper and safe use of radioactive materials. Oversee and conduct radioactive materials therapy patient monitoring. Possess knowledge, skills and expertise in the use of radioactive materials.
