Registrar Support Specialist (Part Time)

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Registrar’s Office supports students and the college through responsible and accurate maintenance of student records and consultation and guidance on issues related to course scheduling, student information systems, and related enrollment processes and procedures. Under limited supervision, the primary function of the Registrar Support Specialist will be assisting students over the phone and via email, entering data into computer files, maintaining student records, and providing backup to other staff as needed.
The schedule for this position will be no more than 28 hours a week Monday through Friday preferably, but can be flexible.UNIVERSAL CORE COMPETENCIES:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Spend at least 80% of the day assisting students over the phone and through email.
- Represent the College in the most positive manner to students, parents, and community members.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and community members.
- Run daily and weekly processes vital to the Registrar’s Office.
- Process enrollment verifications, high school transcripts, and various information requests.
- Accurately enter data to update student records and link documents to correct student or enter into correct workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience.
- Must have recent and relevant experience or education related to modern databases and other computerized systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one year of experience working in higher education is preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
