This position involves working on-site in the Cedar Rapids area, or in the Cedar Rapids office.

Salary Range: 

• $26.00/hour to $29.00/hour

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

The Safety Assistant will provide the administrative support listed below for the Safety Manager:

• Provide documentation preparation, meeting support, scanning/photocopying services.
• Coordinate third party safety training.
• Maintain filing of safety training records/documentation.
• Field support for OSHA.
• Assist with training preparation - set up catering, copy/create training material.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and Excel.
• Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
• Critical reasoning and attention to details
• Dependable with excellent work ethics.
• Help train and mentor new hires.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.

• 10 Hour OSHA or acquired within the first 6 months of date of hire and 30-hour OSHA to follow.
• Pass ten panel drug screening test and preemployment physical.
• Clean driving record.
• Clean background check.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Field Experience preferred.
