EHR Systems Trainer

Physicians' Clinic of Iowa is one of the leading multi-specialty clinics in the State of Iowa. Our commitment to our employees makes us an excellent employer and our commitment to our patients makes our organization second to none.  We are growing and are seeking a fulltime, highly motivated and experienced individual to develop and educate end-user’s on eCW medical software. 

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Design and execute regular educational activities for end-user training focused on eCW, to include, but not limited to Lunch & Learn sessions, or in clinic training.
  • Develop and maintain a training curriculum and provide regular training for all new hires to be trained in eCW, including support staff, nurses and physicians.
  • Train and coach end-users, and super-users and physicians with additional training and alternative workflows.
  • Work with administration and clinical departments to streamline clinic workflows.
  • Assist in the identification of issues, and work with support to resolve problems with the system.
  • Develop and distribute additional documentation that includes, but not limited to, super user guides, quick reference materials, job/workflow aids, scripts and documentation of workflow scenarios.
  • Collaborate with department management on resolving specific problems and tailor programs as necessary.
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets for users requiring eCW software assistance.
  • Become an eClinicalWorks certified trainer, and maintain certification throughout position tenure, expenses to become certified paid by employer.  (May require travel for certification course paid by employer)
  • Develop and document workflows, documents and forms in conjunction with MIPS/MACRA goals set forth by operations management.

 Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, confident, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work well with all people: vendors, providers, and team members.
  • Candidates should possess strong communication, written and verbal, and customer service skills as well as possess a high level of comfort working with computer systems. 
  • Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint and Access a plus. 
  • Associates Degree and/or one to two years’ experience preferred. 
  • EHR systems training will be provided.
