Dental Technician, Processor (Entry Level)

Dental Prosthetic Services

The Digital Dental Technician plays a key role in the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) department, transforming and creating CAD files into precise digital representations used in the creation of dental restorations. This position is responsible for the digital scanning process, accurate data entry, post-processing and operation of CAM systems and activities to meet daily production goals. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong computer skills, and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and innovation in dental manufacturing processes.

Who we are looking for: You are naturally organized, good at keeping track of details, and enjoy working with your hands. In this role, you act as the "traffic controller" for our production. You will be responsible for matching specific dental products to the right material and ensuring every item ends up in the correct tray as it moves down the line. You will also handle the finishing touches—like cutting, heating, and refining the materials. You need a steady hand and good coordination to handle small parts without breaking them. If you prefer order and process, and are good at keeping things sorted, you will fit right in. No experience in dental is needed; we will train you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive CAD files into the system to create accurate 3D illustrations used for restorative planning and fabrication
  • Interpret doctor prescriptions and enter detailed case information into the digital workflow system with accuracy
  • Perform critical post-milling tasks, including the precise cut-off and sintering of all manufactured dental restorations and components.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CAD systems as part of the manufacturing process
  • Meet or exceed established daily production goals while maintaining a focus on quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow efficiency and meet turnaround times
  • Follow established work instructions, safety guidelines, and departmental protocols
  • Support and uphold the company’s core values, mission, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team, departmental and organizational objectives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong computer and technical aptitude; experience with CAD/CAM or 3D modeling software is a plus
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Ability to operate high-speed and precision manufacturing equipment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail with sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Consistent attendance and commitment to team and production goals

Behavioral Expectations

  • Be a cultural and agile role model
  • Show initiative, positivity, and professionalism
  • Support company mission, leadership, and goals
  • Uphold standards of integrity and discourage gossip
