Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, coordinates employee wellness and recognition programs, and leads career awareness outreach, including school visits and career fairs.

The role is 32 hours per week and includes full benefits. Work schedule will be determined in collaboration with CIPCO and the selected candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and coordinating meetings, interviews, and employee engagement activities.
• Coordinate wellness and employee recognition programs.
• Support career awareness initiatives, including school visits and career fairs.
• Maintain department materials, shared files, and personnel records.
• Provide backup support for payroll and benefits administration
• Assist with internal communications, reports, journal entries, and ad hoc reporting.
• Ensure confidentiality of all HR and employee information.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, previous HR/payroll experience preferred
• Proficient with office equipment, computer software, and typing with accuracy.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
• Customer-service oriented, team player, and proactive self-starter.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee information.
