GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing day to day operational functions for the Business and Information Technology. Under the direction of the Business and Information Technology Dean, provide leadership for the department related to the day-to-day tasks, standard procedures and meeting deadlines for Business and Information Technology program. This role will provide management in areas of scheduling, payroll, enrollment, and general process improvement procedures. In addition, will serve as the point of contact for department related processes, department data, contracts, memberships, and committees.
The typical work schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.UNIVERSAL CORE COMPETENCIES:

- Manage, conduct, assist in planning, develop, and coordinate course section build/course scheduling
- Manage, support, and assist in planning, and updating curriculum changes in collaboration with Associate Dean and Dean.
- Manage, support, and assist with transcript review process to facilitate degree audit support.
- Organize, process, and facilitate departmental payroll for Dean review
- Organize, maintain, and facilitate a process for faculty/staff departmental and college funding purchases for Dean review.
- Facilitate official program costs for Academic Affairs/Student Services/Marketing for Dean review
- Monitor facilities, equipment, training, software contract maintenance, and materials to meet the needs of instructional programs and assist with a process for data driven decisions.
- Assist in preparation and submission of all reports and studies that are required from the department including Cobblestone.
- Supervise, manage, and mentor Work Studies including budget, process, onboarding for programs and department.
- Support and oversea special registrations and deregistration process in collaboration with dept. staff
- Support and provide liaison work between other Kirkwood departments and campuses.
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- 1+ year demonstrated process management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge and or experience in a higher education environment
- 2+ years of project management techniques or project management experience.
