Purpose of the position:Under general supervision of the Assistant Administrator, the Business Office Manager oversees the activities of the Business Office, performing those services directly or through the supervision of other Business Office staff. Functions independently within parameters of established policy, procedure, and guidelines. The primary responsibilities are organizing, directing, and supervising business office functions. Communicate and work cooperatively with fiscal intermediaries, company accounting staff, auditors, state agencies, and private insurance companies. Implement and maintain an accurate accounts receivable documentation and retrieval system. Assure confidential employment and related files are established and maintained for each employee, according to laws/regulations and company policy and procedure. Provide secretarial and/or clerical services for administrator and department heads as requested, such as typing, photocopying, compiling/reporting statistics, and other data such as filing and mailing. Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator and/or governing body.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training/education in record-keeping, bookkeeping/accounting, office management.
  • Work history in an office setting.
  • Computer proficiency, familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office products.
  • Calculator proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of office machines operation, such as photocopier, fax.
  • Typing skills of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Functional Literacy in written and spoken English.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Management and supervisory skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal relationships and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately
