Sales Team Member  

Job Description: 

The Sales Team member position is responsible for the sales of fabrics, sewing machines & tools, and front counter coverage. This position is a member of the team who will ensure the consistent delivery of excellent customer service, participate in store sales and profitability through merchandise display, merchandise sales, promoting customer education, and inventory control. 

Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Be well-versed on the full line of the store’s products and services through a superior working knowledge of features and benefits. 

  • Demonstrate products and educate customers to provide a full-service customer experience. 

  • Clearly communicates with customers to match products and services to customer requests and interests, using interactive dialogue and prompting questions to determine the best match. 

  • Effectively participates in the preparation of and facilitator of presentations, demonstrations, and education through classes, events, and customer conversations that advance sales and customer service. 

  • Ensures each customer receives outstanding service by supplying a customer-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, supporting outstanding standards of customer care, solid product knowledge, and all other components of customer service. 

  • Ensures visually pleasing merchandise displays including signing and assortment in all departments.  

Job Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for problem-solving and able to find reasonable solutions for customers 

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Must have a CAN-DO attitude and be open to coaching and encouragement 

  • Experience as a customer service or sales associate 

  • Confident with computer technologies including functional digital skills in social media and communicating via email and telephone.

What if you don't sew? No worries! All of the key skills that have to do with sewing are teachable. We are very experienced in coaching team members to be successful as customer service members at Inspired to Sew.

Schedule: All team members work some Saturdays, but we work NO evenings and NO Sundays. We are looking to fill the position as full time or part time.

Job Benefits:
