Position Highlights: Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing, the MDS Coordinator position assumes responsibility for ensure that the provision of resident care is consistent with established goals and plans, as prescribed by the attending physician and is in accordance with accepted standards of care. The MDS Coordinator will promote the physical and emotional well-being of residents in the long-term care setting as well as obtain maximum reimbursement for nursing care following all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Current, valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Iowa
  • Current, valid CPR certification
  • MDS credentialed or willingness to obtain
  • Familiarity with Federal and State long-term care regulations and laws preferred
  • Familiarity with MDS 3.0/RAI Manual or willingness to obtain certification
  • Work experience in long-term care and gerontological nursing preferred
