Business System Analyst

Johnson County Information Technology Department seeking an experienced and driven professional to join the Johnson County Information Technology team as our first Business Systems Analyst.
The BSA will generally:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Process Improvement & Sustainability: Assess current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to streamline workflows and optimize operational efficiency within the organization. Incorporate green initiatives and sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and promote long-term organizational sustainability.
- Solution Design: Translate business requirements into functional specifications, working closely with IT teams to design and implement effective and user-friendly solutions tailored to Johnson County's needs.
- Project Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-functional teams, contribute to project timelines and resources, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring successful and timely delivery of business system initiatives.
- User Training & Support: Develop and deliver training materials for end-users, provide ongoing support and guidance, and facilitate change management to promote successful adoption of new systems and processes.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly track and analyze the performance of implemented business systems, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency for the organization.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field AND four (4) years of work experience in Information Technology to include two (2) years of experience in business systems analysis; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
