Antioch Christian Church is a growing multi-site church with locations in Marion, Oelwein and Cedar Rapids. Our mission is leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We are currently seeking a full-time Production Manager to join our Marion Campus team.

Job Description

The Production Manager is responsible for managing the production resources of the church to carry out the Creative Arts Team vision of curating environments of transformational worship and raising up future worship leaders.  This includes, coordinating communication between production ministry staff and volunteer team leaders/members and ensuring timely production of all weekend service creative elements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Creative Arts Pastor and other team members in the creative design and production of weekend services and special events.
  • Regularly review the Planning Center calendar and communicate the need for information or clarification to the Lead Technical Director
  • Lead the teams in recruiting, training, developing, deploying, and recognizing technical artists as needed to sustain a weekend service rotation schedule. This includes potential production team member identification and follow-up, interviewing, qualifying, and directing production operators during weekend services and special events.
  • Work with the Creative Arts Team to document creative service elements and production ideas in Planning Center as the central location for all media associated with a particular series/weekend service.
  • Ensure all media files are produced (sermon slides, lyrics, images, automations, etc.) as needed for weekend services and special events.
  • Create and distribute all required documentation (cue sheets, volunteer schedules, information sheets, work instructions, etc.) for each weekend service or special event.
  • Function as coordinator for the Marion Arts Production Team, keeping volunteer team members informed and ready to serve.
  • Responsible for programming of AVL systems in the Marion Campus Worship Center, working with other production team members and/or volunteers to ensure all production elements are ready for rehearsals, weekend services and special events.
  • Function as producer, coordinating activities for rehearsals and live production; ensuring issues are resolved quickly and with minimal negative impact on weekend services and special events.
  • Specify, obtain, and organize all Arts consumable ministry supplies needed for live productions ensuring a continuous supply.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements and Skills

  • Preferably a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a staff member in an Arts ministry or other related production support capacity. 
  • Possession of a BS/BA Degree in Business, Theater, Film, Video Production, Audio Engineering, Graphic Design, or related field is a plus. 
  • The successful individual will be a self-starter, organized, and possess the ability to see major projects through to completion, resolving issues as needed along the way. 
  • A working knowledge of Planning Center, ProPresenter, and other related production applications is required along with significant knowledge of and experience with internet resource gathering. 
  • The Marion Production Manager recognizes that volunteers are the lifeblood of Antioch Christian Church and will continually raise teams of technical artists to reach the mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ!

Reporting Relationship
