Imaging Technologists – MRI Sat / Sun

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Radiology is seeking an Imaging Technologist with primary duties in MRI. Perform and teach specialized MRI and research procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam.

Duties Include:
•    Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing MRI imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision.
•    Perform MRI procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment.
•    Has knowledge of and applies MRI safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel and equipment.
•    Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff.
•    Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient.
•    Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the public.

Percent of Time: 60%
Schedule: Saturday/Sunday 1900-0730 weekend option. No call. No Holidays.
