Web Content Migration Manager


We are looking for a Web Content Migration Manager to join our team. This role requires a blend of visual page layout with written words for a focused user experience and searchable content. This role combines content migration, project management, SEO-rich and accessible writing, and on-page visualization.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the strategy and implementation of content migration projects.
  • Strategize with the digital project team on content arrangement, tagging, linking, taxonomy, and publishing web content in content management system (CMS) platforms such as Drupal, Cascade, ModernCampus, and WordPress.
  • Train clients and internal team members on CMS usage, migration best practices, and ongoing migration troubleshooting.
  • Optimize, revise, and rewrite content for client and internal websites, ensuring digital best practices for accessibility, SEO, scannability, and user journeys are infused throughout each page.
  • Oversee the quality of our web content migration projects.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of best practices in website content strategy, accessibility, user journeys, and design.
  • A completed AA degree or higher in English, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field (or 5+ years of experience in managing CMS and migration projects).
  • A drive to be curious and push for quality. This role requires the tenacity to challenge poor content quality and to look for upsell and rework opportunities.
  • A solid proofreader who understands UX and accessibility principles and investing in keeping up with the industry changes.
  • 3-5 verifiable samples that illustrate your working understanding of content strategy, content optimization, and digital content best practices.
  • 3-5 years of experience creating and placing web content for client sites in an agency environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience:
    • Working on large-scale content strategy, SEO, creation, and implementation projects.
    • Working with a CMS.
    • Managing tasks and general understanding of content project management principles.

As a bonus, we are looking for someone who:

  • Can strategize and create miniature site structures.
  • Has HTML and CSS knowledge. If not, training will be part of the job as light HTML is expected.
  • Has experience working in higher education, healthcare, or B2B industries.
  • Understands Google Analytics
