Client Success Engineer

Collective Data is seeking a skilled Client Success Engineer with a strong desire to learn our proprietary language. In this role you will serve in a project management role to handle deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, and coding. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines, and other resource constraints. You will be challenged and provided a tremendous opportunity for growth in a customer facing, fast paced, agile environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish understanding of client user needs to configure imports, build reports, and security profiles via Collective Data’s proprietary editors to meet requirements
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission critical software source code using modern software development languages and tools
  • Manage technical discussions with client and/or third-party IT teams
  • Carefully document requested features, scope and requirements for each project
  • Recommend new product offerings based on client and prospect discussions
  • Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • A strong technical aptitude
  • Confidence in working alongside and communicating with clients
  • A solid understanding of software development process fundamentals
  • A strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques
  • Familiarity with basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, and XML
  • Knowledge of a version control system (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity and experience with various computer languages and technologies

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science / MIS, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines effectively and efficiently

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of related IT experience
  • Proven experience analyzing how products and services fit into client success
