At Collins Aerospace, it’s our people who make the difference and are the backbone of our technologies. We are currently searching for an Information Security Analyst to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The Identity Management team is responsible for analysis, design, deployment and troubleshooting of Identity and Access management solutions for both internal and external enterprise applications. Supporting technologies include Single Sign On (SSO), Identity Federation, Virtual Directory Aggregation, Multi-Factor Authentication, Identity Stores, Directory Synchronization, Identity Governance and Role Based Access Controls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day BAU (business as usual) duties, assuming a supporting role in projects and working closely with teammates to enhance and grow skill sets. Candidates should have an understanding of account and user life cycle management. Java development and relational database / SQL experience are highly desired.  Familiarization with application server technology, clustering and Log4J are a plus. Collaboration and effective communication with other operational teams is a must.


  • Assist in troubleshooting identity/entitlement management issues.

  • Work with a team to implement solutions to meet technical and security requirements.

  • Develop Java based connectors between Identity Management system and downstream applications.

  • Participate in project meetings and other significant process teams to represent the Security organization.

  • Participate in annual disaster recovery exercise testing.

  • Perform audit correction plans which address and increase system integrity.


  • Java Programming language and J2EE concepts

  • Unit Testing and validation

  • SQL and general relational database concepts

  • Familiarity with MS Active Directory

  • Familiarity with Identity Management solutions

  • Familiarity with cross-application integration technologies, web services, data transfer, and workflows


  • Struts/Tiles web application framework

  • Ant scripting

  • JSON, SOAP, web services

  • X.509 Certificates / PKI

  • MFA solutions such as Duo

  • Understanding of basic infrastructure concepts (e.g. DNS, TCP / IP protocols, clustering, load balancing, firewalls.)

Must Have Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience; identified skills and experience

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, even under pressure

  • Ability to participate on a 24/7 on-call rotation

  • Ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and follow through on commitments

  • Demonstrate self-motivation, decisiveness, and a positive teamwork attitude
