GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include:
  • programming all types of enterprise-level development projects
  • requirements elicitation
  • technical and system documentation creation
  • documentation review and design changes
  • prototype development and demonstrations
  • unit testing
  • system testing assistance
  • assist in the handoff to Operations Team
  • following the change management process

The Project Team Software Developer must be flexible and open to new ideas, a proponent of the agile iterative development process, team oriented, customer-focused, extremely attentive to details, organized, and should be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. The role requires strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and nontechnical audiences.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and test mobile responsive, 508 compliant, web-based applications.
  • Object-oriented programming, APIs and/or stored procedure creation.
  • Meet with stakeholders and project management team to elicit requirements.
  • Design, test, and deliver dashboard reports used by various departments to make informed decisions.
  • Create and execute test cases.
  • Create technical and system documentation (programmatically or manually).
  • Troubleshoot, debug and problem solve.
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's Degree in computer science or related field or 2 years of object-oriented programming experience.
  • Must possess an understanding of the software development process.
  • Understanding of both Windows and UNIX environments.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
  • Knowledge of database concepts, SQL, and stored procedures (Microsoft SQL Server / SSRS preferred).
  • Knowledge of Vue.js and .NET.
  • Experience using APIs.
  • Experience with Visual Studio (or an equivalent IDE).
  • Experience using Subversion (or an equivalent version control system).
  • Experience with Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience writing and executing test cases is a plus.
  • Experience gathering requirements is a plus.
