Position Summaries:
The Systems Administrator will assist in the performance of Storage Area Network (SAN) administration tasks such as hardware setup and upgrades, software upgrades, system backups, and preventive maintenance.
The Senior Systems Administrator will develop, install, maintain, and provide senior-level system administration for complex Storage Area Network (SAN) tasks such as hardware setup and upgrades, software upgrades, system backups, and preventive maintenance.

Position Qualifications:
Education Required
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and related development/support experience
Experience Requirements
  • Some current relevant enterprise-level system administration experience in the development and/or support of IBM Storage Systems, SVC, FlashCopy, MetroMirror and/or Storage Management software

    • Typically 5-7 years of Senior Systems Administrator
    • Typically 3–5 years for Systems Administrator
·Experience with Microsoft 2008/2012 Server and/or UNIX operating systems
·Demonstrated experience working with end-users to define system requirements, understand business needs and convert business requirements into functional/technical specifications for complex integrated systems build
·Demonstrated ability using one or more of the following scripting skills: BASH, XML, Jason, Python or PowerShell
·Experience working with vendors to analyze system and integration requirements
·Experience communicating technical information effectively to technical and non-technical staff at the verbal, written and presentation levels
·Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment  
Desirable Qualifications – Senior Systems Administrator
  • Experience supporting an EMR in a healthcare setting 
  • Experience with any of the following:  Block/File storage platforms such as Dell Unity, VNX, NetApp, Pure Storage, Isilon and software such as Superna Eyeglass, Spectrum CDM, Spectrum Protect and Spectrum Storwize and Brocade Network Advisor and Brocade Fibre Channel switches or similar administration
  • Certification related but not limited to the following:  Brocade Certified SAN Administrator, EMC Proven Professional and/or IBM Certified Specialist
  • Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on implementation projects 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management 
  • Proven ability to adequately thrive in a dynamic work setting 
  • Experience working with ITIL service management practices such as Incident Management and/or Change Management 
  • Understanding of VMware Escin clusters and data store, resource management
