Software QA Analyst Specialist

What We Are Looking For:
The QA Manager-Analyst / Documentation Specialist will support holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and software release, including integration, unit, functional, regression, performance and user-acceptance testing. They will assist in providing development priorities, strategy, and timelines to coordinate project execution and delivery from a QA perspective. The candidate will also assist in the documentation process and in the management / upkeep of our document repository.

The candidate must be able to:
  • Develop, execute and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts
  • Perform and participate in front-end and back-end testing
  • Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects and work with engineering team and business to trouble shoot issues
  • Provide testing estimates for assigned work
  • Establish and maintain traceability of requirements through test plans and test cases
  • Act as a user / customer advocate
  • Provide input on go / no-go decisions for feature development and production releases
  • Help improve upon and build QA practices and methodology for assigned IDx products / projects.
  • Assist senior software automation engineer by providing functional and complete manual tests to be included in automated testing and in identifying candidates for test automation
  • Work within a hybrid agile / waterfall development process
  • Learn how to work in a medical device development environment requiring exceptional attention to detail, as our company is bounded by government regulation
  • Be self-motivated, able to work independently and can manage multiple projects under minimal supervision
  • Participate in creating, maintaining, and organizing documentation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a comparable discipline, or equivalent/related work experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in a QA role and/or documentation specialist role
  • Experience executing and coordinating integration, system, regression, unit, functional and user acceptance testing
  • Understanding of QA processes, practices and systems
  • Excellent attention to detail, written, and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Applicants must not now or in the future need IDx to sponsor an immigration case for employment (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration cases)

What will help you in this role:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft development tools, specifically Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
  • Experience working in an ISO- or FDA-regulated environment, or another highly regulated environment (FAA, etc.)
  • QA Lead / Test Lead experience
  • Development background
  • Experience as a documentation specialist
