UIHealth Care Information Systems is seeking an experienced Application Developerto design and/or modify components of complex clinical application systems.
Primaryduties include workflow analysis, optimization, application build, testing andimplementation.  Other responsibilities include monitoring productionissues, testing special updates, and system documentation.  Positionrequires wearing a pager and providing some 24 x 7 on-call support.

Successfulcandidates will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
Bachelor’sdegree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relatedapplication development/support experience
Somecurrent relevant experience, typically 3-5 years, in the development and/orsupport of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhancehealthcare workflow processes
Experiencecontributing to an integrated information system implementation cycle thoughareas such as design, workflow analysis, build, training, implementation,testing and support
Demonstratedexperience related to understanding business needs and converting businessrequirements into functional/technical specifications for complex integratedsystems build
Demonstratedknowledge of and experience with basic project management
Demonstratedexperience working with service owners and/or outside vendors to analyze systemand integration requirements related to outside applications
Demonstratedability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing withtechnical and non-technical staff
Demonstratedjob-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academicenvironment
Experiencecontributing to the support, configuration and development of an electronichealth record (EHR) in an ambulatory or hospital setting
Demonstratedknowledge of and experience with any of the following workflows: ambulatory orinpatient clinical documentation; emergency department or ancillary servicessuch as social work, respiratory therapy, dietary or rehabilitation services
Epiccertification(s) related to but not limited to the following:  EpicCareAmbulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Epic Case Management, Epic ASAP
Demonstratedability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical staffthroughout the lifecycle of an implementation project
Demonstratedattention to detail in system build, documentation and change managementprocedures
Experiencetroubleshooting HL7 interfaces
Provenability to write and execute application test scripts
