Client Relations Manager, IT Outreach

Job Information:

UI Health Care Information Systems (HCIS) is seeking an experienced Client Relationship Manager to manage and support relationships with external entities in the use of various IT-related deployments including Epic and Infor Community Connect.  
Core job duties include:
  • Review existing systems, delivery, service agreements and partners on new client requests and service agreements.  
  • Monitor client service requests to ensure all service quality standards and goals are met. 
  • Serves as the client relations liaison between clients and UIHC HCIS in areas of business development and service management.  
  • Collaborate in the development of processes to improve efficiencies and enhance overall relationships. 
  • Presents program status updates to client, UIHC and HCIS leadership.  
  • Oversees the planning and implementation of quarterly and annual client and program meetings.
  • Travel to sites to support will be required based on business needs.  
Salary and Benefits:
  • Work to be performed onsite at the UI Health Care Support Services Building, 3281 Ridgeway Drive, Coralville, IA 52241.  
  • Salary range is $70,000 to commensurate 
  • Permanent salaried position with a generous fringe benefit package including 24 days paid vacation; sick leave; health, dental, life and disability insurance options; and employer contributions into retirement plans. 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. 
  • Typically 5 years of recent and proven managerial or operational experience in IT, including IT system implementations, health care or in complex customer relationship environments. 
  • Demonstrated experience of successful change management and/or application of continuous/business improvement techniques 
  • Experience developing, managing and/or monitoring service level agreements 
  • Excellent people management, leadership, coaching and motivation skills 
  • Outstanding communication skills at the verbal, written and presentation level. Proven ability to influence and build collaboration.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the University of Iowa Fleet Services and the Department of Risk Management driving records requirements
  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of hospital or health system operations, financial, administrative and clinical flows with basic understanding financial systems.
  • Experience with management or operations in a small to medium hospital environment
  • Experience working within complex, multiple client site environments managing customer relations, project deadlines, escalation, resolution and program delivery.
  • Proven history of working closely with clients to determine current and future business needs, advocating on behalf of clients in review of systems and programs.
  • Strong problem solving and process improvement skills for managing service delivery, including developing workflows and new business processes.  
  • Experience planning and implementing remote and onsite meetings with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders   
  • Proficiency with the MS Suite of products to include MS WORD, EXCEL, Outlook, Project and Visio.
  • Experience with C Suite Communication.
