Helpdesk Technician

Job Information:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Configures and installs PCs, peripherals and other electronic and office equipment, including installation of software and network connectivity.
  • Provide basic instruction and support to end users in the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of a range of desktop software and hardware.  
  • Under direction of IT department, support Cooperative departments and users in reaching their data and communications goals and solving problems. 
  • Responsible for routine maintenance, repair or upgrade of IT hardware and equipment.
  • Educate and assist users with malware prevention and detection.
  • Document processes and procedures as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Associates Degree in computer science, management information systems or one (1) to three (3) years of job experience/course work in a closely related field is required.
  • IT approved Certification, A+ and MCP required. MCSE helpful and may be earned in the first 12 months of employment.  
  • Experience in a Help Desk or similar Technology Support environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Apple Server and iDevices, and Microsoft Windows clients is preferred.
  • Experience with Linux systems a plus.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
