Job Information:

Provide functional and administrative leadership for an Off-Site IT Support team performing advanced configuration and installation of IT hardware and software in an enterprise IT environment.  Collaborate closely with management and peer teams to promote consistent service delivery.  Embrace standardization, documentation, customer service excellence and the continual improvement approach to IT.  Exercise all workflows while maintaining state and institutional policies and alignment with organizational objectives.  Plan, coordinate and manage projects and the daily operations of all remotely located clinics through analysis, integration, installation, and troubleshooting of wired and wireless computing devices.
Salary and Benefits:
  • $50,000 to commensurate

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience (typically 3-5 years) supporting workstations running Windows 7/10 and MS Office 2010/2013/2016.
  • Experience working with PC desktop hardware and software in an enterprise IT environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a diverse population of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience with technical process documentation
  • Ability to move and install IT equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Must meet the University of Iowa Fleet Services Program rules and regulations    
Desirable qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and/or LEAN principles.
  • Experience mitigating security risks associated with non-standardized hardware and software configurations.
  • Experience working with Mac and/or Linux desktop hardware and software in an enterprise IT environment            
  • Experience working in a health care or health industry environment.
