Warehouse Shipper

Job Summary
The warehouse shipper is responsible for preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Job Responsibilities
·Performs all computer functions necessary to track various product(s).
·Supports the shipment of product(s) and receiving of supplies to be used in or to aid assembly/storage of products destined for sale to our customer base.
·Read customer orders, work orders and shipping orders to determine items to be shipped.
·Reports defective materials and questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
·Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
·Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
·This job is required to rotate and/or fill in for other different departments and positions based on business needs and seasonal requirements.

Education, Experience, Technical Knowledge and Skills
·High school diploma or GED.
·1 year of factory-related experience in shipping.
·Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
·Familiarity with software programs used in this job preferred.
·Licensed forklift truck operator preferred.

·Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
