Engineering / Technical Service Associate

Job Information:

Position Summary/Accountabilities - Responsible for technical service in Concrete Division, applicant will be trained in this field.  Provide on-site training and assistance with the initial start-up of systems and maintenance of existing systems. Travel approximately 25% to 50% or more.
Receive troubleshooting phone calls on a daily basis.  Assist engineering in the design of new concrete curing equipment. Provide back-up for the sales process of concrete curing parts, fielding and processing of concrete parts orders. Uphold standards for drafting and design within Concrete Division.

Job Functions:
  • Responsible for the inspection of an installation and assist maintenance of concrete curing systems.
  • Responsible for system wiring diagrams.
  • Draw wiring diagrams for control panels.
  • Field customer questions.
  • Update and maintain operation manuals and instructions.
  • Update and/or create bill of materials for concrete products
  • Update concrete price sheets.
  • Modify assembly drawings and create new part drawings from old drawings.
  • Design the layout, assigns part numbers and release finished drawings on electrical control panels.
  • Enter A-Series and CurePak orders into WorkWise (company database).
  • Prepare proper documents to facilitate shipping concrete products, e.g. bill of lading, NAFTA certificates, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, finger dexterity, hearing, seeing, pushing, pulling and climbing. Also requires ability to work hours outside normal work time when needed. Environmental requirements include working inside and outside.  Travel will be required; mostly domestic, some international (e.g. Canada, must be able to get a passport).

Technical/Job Skill Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in drafting or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD & Inventor (3D) preferred but not required.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft application programs and personal computers, (e.g. experience with MS Excel & Word), but not required.
  • 1-3 years mechanical and/or electrical experience or a related field.
