Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician

We are looking for talented individuals to join our Nevada, Iowa manufacturing team in the position of E&I Technician. In the E&I Technician role, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical equipment and instrumentation across the site. This position involves working closely with our process technicians, maintenance technicians, engineers, and our contract partners to maximize reliability of the equipment and minimize production downtime.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, clean, repair, and reassemble equipment such as MCC's, motors, instruments, valves, etc. according to oral and written instructions
• Maintaining PSM critical equipment to ensure it will reliably perform its function
• Maintaining equipment installed in electrically classified areas
• With appropriate electrical qualifications, certification, experience, and/or training, can work on 480 - 4160 voltage equipment
• Perform other advanced tasks such as Thermography, Interlock Testing, Calibrations, etc.
• Work closely with Maintenance Technicians and Process Technicians on site and assist teammates in completing tasks outside the scope of typical responsibilities
• Maintain parts inventory and order all necessary maintenance materials
• Plan maintenance work with operations, contractors, and other plant employees
• Generates written procedures to complete routine maintenance tasks
• Must Have at least five years of plant maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and instrumentation
• Basic understanding of process control
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of maintaining rotating and fixed equipment in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Excellent Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Strong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plant
• Self-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules including an on-call schedule, evenings and weekends as needed
• Ability to do moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders), along with the ability to work above floor surfaces (heights)
• Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting (50 lbs)
