The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, School of Social Work/National Resource Center for Family Centered Practice is seeking a full-time Research Associate to provide research assistance for a variety of research and evaluation projects in social work, public health, education and other social services; organize and analyze data, prepare reports and presentations, and assist in the development of new projects. Position requires travel throughout Iowa.
Key duties include:
  • Perform research on specified topics and prepare literature reviews, bibliographies and abstracts.
  • Organize and prepare data for analysis.
  • Perform standard descriptive and analytical statistical computations and prepare results in written report format.
  • Assist in the planning and presentation of data and results.
  • Write research and evaluation reports including summarizing test results.
  • Communicate effectively with project agencies and other consumers on data collection needs and requirements.
  • Assist in preparing grant applications.
  • Train and supervise students/staff in data collection, coding, entry, organization and other protocol as needed.
