RESPONSIBILITIES
Teamwork, Support, and Process

  • Business to Business (B2B) sales relationship development, selling consulting services to national companies with multiple facilities and complex roof and pavement assets.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing prospects and clients with the intent of increasing sales and expanding our client base.
  • Develop and execute personal and company sales plans.
  • Follow-up on sales leads.
  • Engage with current and prospective clients through phone, email communication, social media, virtual and on-site meetings as appropriate, client seminars, trade shows, and various other business development activities.
  • Assist in developing proposals and estimates as needed.
  • Network with industry partners, contractors, manufacturers, and Benchmark team members to pursue potential referrals, leads, and opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • A proven record of selling professional services.
  • Experience selling to key decision makers in a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing a proven sales process.
  • Experience developing and implementing a strategic sales plan.
  • Strong work ethic in achieving personal and company goals.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and technical capacity/ability.
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with a passion for sales and relationship development.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel (amount of travel time varies according to business need and/or client preference).

Communication

  • Encourages flow of communication and fosters relationships throughout the company and with our clients.
  • Communicates with teammates and leadership to effectively balance workload.

SPECIFICATIONS
Required:

  • Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Engineering, or an industry-related field.
  • Prior experience in a sales relationship development position (minimum of 5 years).
  • Able to work in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

Preferred:

  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. Benchmark uses Deltek Vision.
  • Experience working in a related field/industry (engineering, construction, architecture, professional services, etc.).
  • Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
