Houser Enterprises, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Assistant Property Manager for a 300+ unit Multi-Family residential portfolio located in Coralville, IA. We combine quality apartment homes, wonderful locations, and excellent management to create a great rental experience for our residents! We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team.   • Assist the Property Manager with daily administrative tasks and effectively manage the assigned communities
  • Focus on resident customer service and assist in managing the operations, leasing activity, renewals, collections, financial reporting, supplies, and communications of the apartment communities
  • Conduct all aspects of marketing and leasing apartment homes
  • Assist with maintenance scheduling
  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to assist residents, team members and vendors under all circumstances

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have 1+ years of assistant property management experience in multi-family housing
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be able to navigate industry software (we use AppFolio)
  • Advanced knowledge of local, state and federal resident/property management laws/guidelines
  • Ability to self-direct and to prioritize and organize multiple projects
  • Strong analytical reporting, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication
  • Be able to provide great customer service to our residents

  • Normal hours of employment: 8AM -5PM Monday – Friday
  • Evenings and weekends required when needed / necessary
