The Parts Sales/Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in providing a competitive advantage to our customers and to Marion Process Solutions by ensuring efficient handling of inside aftermarket sales. They are expected to provide excellent customer service to promote and support our products. The professional in this position will frequently be the front line representative of our company in our interactions with clients.

This position reports to the General Manager/Marion Performance Group.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, both our own and those existing in our client’s facilities, as well as attending all required safety related training sessions.
  • Accountable for ownership of safety and encouragement of safety program compliance with all teammates.
  • Obtain and stay current on a working understanding of our products, especially as it relates to service parts.
  • Gather and organize data to provide quotations to clients for potential parts orders.
  • Interact with clients, suppliers, and internal team members, to provide timely and efficient processing of parts requests and orders.
  • Support, engage in, and eventually initiate sales campaigns for parts and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with, and have effective interface with the Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Production teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Support and engage in the continuing development of the Marion Performance Group business model
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as dictated by the project or customer’s needs.

Professional & Technical Knowledge

  • Business degree preferred, but not required

Required Experience

  • Two years related experience and/or training.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, talk or hear, reach with hands and arms.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Other

  • Completion of pre-employment drug screening required.
  • Must comply with corporate requirements for confidentiality and non-compete agreements.
  • Very minimal travel required.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
