The Regional Sales Manager – Great Lakes is responsible for all sales activities in the assigned territory, with primary focus being on direct sales of industrial High Purity process filtration products to end users for the Global Filter brand (www.globalfilter.com).  

The Great Lakes territory is currently $1M revenue with strong growth anticipated in the near future. The territory consists of the following states: Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin. This position will be located within the territory and reports to the Global Filter Director of Sales.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Learn, present and sell Global Filter products & services to current and potential customers within the assigned territory; 
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific customer targets for new business growth; 
  • Identify, develop and follow-up on new leads, prospects and referrals resulting from field activity, inside sales efforts and tradeshows; 
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and order forms when required; 
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge; 
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential customer relationships; identify and resolve customer concerns; 
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including itineraries, timely call reports and expense reports; 
  • Review monthly sales reports in order to monitor customer performance and evaluate appropriate business actions; 
  • Forecast annual territory sales, report pertinent customer data, gather and report on competitive activity, and update CRM database; 
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, and information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff; 
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales; 
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals within assigned territory;   
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, tradeshows and telemarketing events;
  •  Follow-up on collection of payments; 
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services when needed; 
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time within the territory;   
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree required and some familiarity or knowledge of industrial/technical sales experience preferred 
  • Ability to learn quickly and build in-depth knowledge of process filtration with focus on High Purity pleated depth and membrane cartridge sales to Food and Beverage, Microelectronics, Pharmaceuticals, Animal Health, and high purity Chemicals 
  • Ability to persuade and influence others as well as develop and deliver sales presentations preferred, with provided guidance Computer proficiency required; 
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM software; 
  • SalesForce.com experience strongly preferred; must be able to input and retrieve sales data
  •  Strong time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities 
  • Must be a strong team player with the ability to work autonomously 
  • Customer-oriented and able to adapt to changing customer requirements; 
  • Strong problem-solving skills required 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to utilize appropriate e-mail and telephone etiquette; 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; 
  • Ability to speak, listen and communicate well throughout all levels of the organization
