Job Summary –
Air Systems Consultants are responsible for identifying and qualifying prospective clients, analyzing needs and consulting with representatives from potential customers to propose and sell the most effective industrial air systems solution available.  Ultimately, the successful Air Systems Consultant will convert the prospective client over to a satisfied customer by closing the sales process with one or more solutions to their industrial air system needs.
Essential Job Functions –
  • Must be able to use a laptop computer to perform air system diagnostics and client interaction, using common MS Office applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Must be able to use our Customer Relationship Management(CRM) software tool, to manage daily sales calls, customer quotations and correspondence.
  • Identify, qualify and call on prospective customers, with the ultimate goal being to help the customer meet their compressed air and vacuum system needs in the most energy efficient and cost effective manner possible.
  • Analyze customer air systems with Atlas-Copco’s “M-box” and/or Airchitect technology and prepare subsequent recommendations, quotations and proposals in a sales process so as to gain orders, customers and market share.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to new sales leads and referrals from others, prospect/cold call within your assigned territory as necessary to generate new potential clients.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets to support company revenue and profit objectives.
  • Prepare for and attend industry specific exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional opportunities. 
  • Maintain customer base contact information, sales quotations and personal calendar daily on a daily basis.
  • Establish and maintain professional, productive trust based relationships with customers representing a wide variety of industries.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills along with the ability to prioritize activities to ensure client satisfaction is required.
  • Update job knowledge (for both products and sales/marketing strategies and skills) by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and networking with industry peers.
Experience and Skills –
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including physical and work environment)
  • Working knowledge of compressed air and vacuum systems and their components, including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards and proper usage of the equipment.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental mathematical operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Minimum Job Qualifications (education, work experience, licenses/certifications) -
  • High School or equivalent (GED) is required, a 2 or 4 year college degree is preferred.
  • 2 to 5+ years of related work experience or training or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
  • Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply with Company policy.
  • A qualified applicant will be a trustworthy self-starter with good self-discipline and self-management skills.
