Job Information:

The Gazette is seeking an Account Executive to consultatively sell advertising for all print and digital properties to an assigned list of accounts. You'll Identify and target ways to grow existing business as well as ways to obtain new business opportunities. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop campaigns to retain and subsequently grow revenue. Plan, prepare and make effective sales presentations.
  • Establishes good rapport with Clients and asks for repeat business.
  • Delivers quality orders to the support teams and provides all necessary information to insure smooth running of advertising
  • Gets involved in business and community events to both promote our company as well as assist in efforts to improve our area.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets measured on a 4 month rolling average.
  • Consults on options for effective ad design, insertion, and provides suggestions for ad improvements.
  • Maintain strong sales results and industry knowledge in order to achieve total product certification status and represent all company offerings.
  • Provides information and assistance to coordinate advertising. Suggest options in effective ad message and day-parting.
  • Orders in ads and processes advertising to ensure proper schedule.
  • Completes necessary forms and paperwork, checks, reads and corrects proofs, processes customer credits and obtains prepays when necessary. Perform works within established timeframes and in an efficient manner.
  • Works collaboratively with creative services and traffic to ensure advertiser expectations are met.
  • Acts as an advisor of special sections and other media promotions.
  • Acts as an advisor of special promotions and sponsorship opportunities.

Job Skills & Attributes
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Creative thinking and planning. Strong work ethic and ability to be flexible in work efforts to drive business is key to success. Ability to work with a variety of standard computer software and mobile tools as well as internal operating systems necessary to create proposals, process orders and track pipeline.  Strong knowledge or training in search engine marketing, search engine optimization, e-mail and content marketing and social media management.

Minimum Requirements
Four Year College Degree or equivalent.  Additional education in business, sales/related field. Two years experience in sales. Above average written and oral communication skills. Own reliable transportation, safe driving habits, and the maintaining of valid driver's license. Ability to generate fresh ideas and think creatively a plus.
