Business Developer – Entertainment Industry

Are you an expert at prospecting and building relationships?  Do you have an interest in concerts and festivals?  If so, keep reading about this unique opportunity and newly-created position with Wired Production group, based in Cedar Rapids.

From concert and festival staging, to LED screen rentals, corporate events and video production, companies and organizations across the country have relied on Wired Production Group to meet their unique production needs for 20+ years.

We need a business developer on our growing sales team!  He or she must be a go-getter who really enjoys business development and has proven ability to execute a sales strategy.  This position will be focused on the entertainment industry and will initiate contact with potential customers, identify needs, and match appropriate services to meet those needs.

A “day in the life” will include: 
•Identifying and prospecting new clients in the entertainment industry including casinos, festivals, concerts, theater and any live events.
•Building and managing a pipeline and recording interactions with their customers (calls made, emails sent, etc.)
•Setting up appointments and traveling surrounding states as needed to prospect new relationships and close business opportunities.
•Providing customers with samples and ideas of similar services and events
•Estimating or quoting prices, credit or contract terms, delivery specifications
•Recommends products or services to customers, based on customer’s needs and interests.
•Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations or clubs and attend shows or conferences.
•Monitoring market conditions, product or service innovations, and competitors’ prices, services and sales.
•Preparing sales contracts and order forms.
•Performing some administrative duties such as sales forecasting, recording sales activity and preparing expense reports.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of three years of B2B full-cycle sales from prospecting to closing, including negotiation.  Any experience in and around the industry is preferable -- entertainment, audio/video, systems/tech companies.  Must be able to travel approximately five days per month and hold a valid driver’s license.
