PURPOSE OF POSITION: To prepare, monitor and ensure excellent and consistent food quality. The dining experience is targeted to exceed the expectations of our guest.  It is the commanding reason why they confidently recommend the Ox Yoke Inn® and have made it world famous since 1940.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  1. Monitor food cost and menu pricing for established margin compliance and profitability.
  2. Monitor adherence to recipes, portion control, presentation and proper food temperature.
  3. Work on the Front Line and monitor performance of staff.
  4. Manage purchasing of food and related supplies.
  5. Manage inventories.
  6. Monitor adherence to ServSafe, HACCP regulations and Ox Yoke® safety standards.
  7. Manage labor including kitchen, food preparation and brunch staff. Conduct interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, performance appraisals, discipline and termination.
  8. Monitor staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
  9. Menu and recipe development, and pricing for breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, brunch buffet, on-premise catering, carryout, specials, and events.
  10. Coordinate and supervise culinary activities between, kitchen, food preparation, bakery, brunch, and meat cutting departments.
