Rhythm City Casino Resort currently had multiple openings for cook positions at our Davenport, Iowa location. This is an excellent opportunity for growth.

The Cook I is responsible for learning and maintaining basic knowledge of the kitchen equipment and knives. Once trained, they must be able to work all of the line-level positions. They will assist the other cooks and chefs with the everyday workings of the kitchen.

The Cook II should have all of the knowledge and abilities of a cook I, but should also have additional culinary knowledge regarding food quality and preparation. They must also be able to train and work with others with a positive attitude.

The Cook III should have all of the knowledge and abilities of a Cook II, but should have further knowledge and skills of all areas within the kitchen. They should have working food production and preparation experience. They should be able to operate all equipment and utensils and be able to follow established recipes and menu guidelines with little to no supervision. They are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen equipment at all times.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Understand basic knowledge of equipment pertaining to the assigned work area.
  • Ensure operational quality aspects are met, creating a high-quality product that is eye-appealing and flavorful.
  • Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of kitchen stations.
  • Assist the other cooks in the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Ability to take instructions, as well as relay instructions in a constructive manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of all food products in use and in stock.
  • Prepare food with proper seasonings and flavors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
  • Must demonstrate communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • (Cook I) Practical kitchen knowledge.
  • (Cook II) A.O.S; Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • (Cook III) A.O.S; Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
