Position Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the execution of procurement strategies across EPC locations to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery and price-saving initiatives.
  • Secure timely delivery of quality materials by working with vendors to control costs by managing supplies.
  • Reviews the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) report for purchasing requirements, reviews requisitions and Engineering documents for requirements and specifications for same.
  • Maintain inventory at the lowest levels possible without causing shortages or delays to production or parts orders.
  • Maintain accurate planning metrics including lead time, MOQ/EOQ, costing, purchasing information and safety stock levels.
  • Review current usage levels with above parameters to ensure proper ordering volumes and patterns are followed to support Manufacturing and Service needs.
  • Review all available reports for shortages and excess and take appropriate action to expedite or disposition material.
  • Manage Supplier invoicing approval to minimize Purchase Price Variance and pricing creep throughout the year.
  • Resolve non-conforming product, invoicing and other issues in a timely manner to ensure availability of product and timely payment to Suppliers.
  • Execute Group and Organization business processes to support tactical and strategic business objectives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Escalate internal organizational issues and all issues pertaining to Suppliers (Cost, Quality, Availability, and Commercial) to the Procurement Manager for resolution.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Business or related field and minimum of two (2) years purchasing experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing principles and practices.
  • Strong MRP and/or ERP experience.
  • Experience managing assigned metrics.
  • Proven experience in sourcing, negotiations and management of suppliers and projects.
  • Ability to develop and implement cost saving initiatives, SKU and Supplier rationalization.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Advanced Excel capabilities
