Wide Format Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Cedar Graphics, an award winning commercial printer in Hiawatha has an opening in our Wide Format Department as a Wide Format Machine Operator - 1st Shift

This is an entry to mid-level position for someone who is interested in the print industry or graphics and is willing to learn to operate and maintain our wide format equipment – flatbed printer, router, roll printer and laminator.
Will interact with sales and customers to recommend different substrates and techniques. Will do customer installations as needed. Previous printing experience a plus.

General Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic understanding of Adobe CS
• Candidates should have general printing knowledge and a good eye for detail.
• Must have solid decision making skills and be able to analyze operating situations and make the necessary adjustments to optimize operations.
• Have good computer knowledge and skills –Adobe suite experience a plus.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and move readily throughout the facility.
• Must be able to work under limited supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds to waist level on a periodic basis.
