Johnson County Mental Health/ Disability Services’ is seeking a dedicated individual for the Regional Social Worker opening.

The candidate will assist individuals in gaining access to needed medical, social, community, and brain health services as well as other services as needed.  Coordinate and monitor services in compliance with Administrative Rules, MH/DS of the East Central Region (ECR) Management Plan, and other applicable policies and procedures. Collaborates with regional staff to ensure continuity of care, progress towards expected outcomes, and service identification.

 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a human services field (including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, nursing, education, occupational therapy, and recreational therapy) AND preferably one (1) year of experience in the delivery of services to the population groups that the person is hired as a social worker to serve OR an Iowa license to practice as a registered nurse AND at least three (3) years of experience in the delivery of services to the population groups that the person is hired as a social worker to serve.
