Home Health Nurse / Public Health Nurse

Location: Marengo, IA

Schedule: Full time or Part time available

Normal business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Starting wage: $30/hour; mileage reimbursed $0.655/mile

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license, CPR, Mandatory Reporter
• Preferred candidates have at least 1 year of nursing experience
• Knowledge of home health regulations, OASIS experience
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Ability to work as a collaborative team member with diverse groups of people
• Electronic charting experience and basic computer skills required
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Uses clinical knowledge, physical assessment, teaching and nursing skills to deliver care in the patient’s place of residence
• Delivers patient care directed by the physician as established in the plan of care that is consistent with clinical best practices
• Makes visits to the homes of patients requiring home health nursing services and assumes responsibility for an ongoing assessment of the patient
• Performs initial and comprehensive assessments on all patients in accordance with agency policies and procedures
• Delivers quality care and completes accurate clinical documentation in accordance with home health conditions of participation (CoPs)
• Promotes independence by teaching patients and their family members to understand the medical needs identified by the provider
