Salary Range: $25.20 - 37.25

Starting salary is determined based upon factors that may include: years of relevant experience, education, applicable certifications/licensure, and internal equity.

Function as a clinical nurse expert and care coordinator for specific high-risk patient populations, from inpatient admission order through discharge order and planning. Interact with administrative staff, clinical nursing staff, physicians and patients/families to support quality care and positive patient outcomes, and in accordance with internal and external performance measures, benchmarks and recommended treatment patterns.

  • Facilitates efficient workflow and patient throughput. Assigns and delegates patient care activities with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the Manager and Director with development of clinic procedures as it pertains to customer satisfaction, scheduling, emergency procedures, and training. 
  • Procure supplies and equipment for the clinic, assist staff with set up and training as needed.
  • Serves as a resource, role model, and mentor for designated staff.
  • Provide functional supervision and leadership with new employees and coordinate and deliver training as needed. Assist with the orientation of new staff and ongoing staff development and education.
  • Provide input to Mercy Clinics leadership regarding performance of clinic staff. May conduct performance appraisals.
  • Serve as the functional supervisor for the clinic in the absence of the Manager, reporting and documenting any incidents.
  • Assist with the applicant interview and selection process.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

Education

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice.

Certification/Licensure

  • Must possess current RN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state - required
  • Current Basic Life Support validation or successfully complete BLS course within 3 months of date of hire - required
