Certified Medical Assistant

AbbeHealth Services - is a regional nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health and aging services that help individuals achieve their optimum levels of independence and success. 

 

 

Abbe Center for Community Mental Health is a subsidiary of AbbeHealth Services located in Cedar Rapids.

 

Responsibilities

Measure vital signs, administer injectable psychotropic medications, facilitate prescription renewals, interface with clients and provider/providers, and perform other duties within the scope of practice and under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

 

Qualifications

Requires Medical Assistant Certification.  Experience working with individuals with mental illness in an outpatient setting is preferred but not required. Must pass records and driving checks, and pre-employment drug screen.

 

We provide new employees extensive onboarding orientation and ongoing training to assist in filling these roles.
