The Department of Radiology, is seeking full time, 2nd shift Imaging Technologists with primary duties in MRI. Position includes: Perform and teach specialized MRI and research procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. Work schedule will be primarily Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM– 11:30 PM. Schedule may include rotating shifts during the week including night; weekend and holiday on call responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing MRI imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision.
  • Perform MRI procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment
  • Has knowledge of and applies MRI safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel and equipment.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff.
  • Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.
