University of Iowa Health Care is seeking its next talented marketing coordinator to support its communication and marketing team.

The marketing coordinator assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing communications plans to meet strategic needs for the organization. The successful marketing coordinator will work with many stakeholders internally and externally to coordinate marketing and promotional activities that will enhance preference, awareness, image and reputation of University of Iowa Health Care. 

Position Responsibilities:
Research and analysis

•    Identify and track metrics associated with specific marketing objectives
•    Assist with gathering market and general trend and other performance data, translating the data into information for decision-making
•    Coordinate and assist with consumer research projects, as needed

Marketing Planning
•    Assist in development of marketing communications plans that support growth and development of key clinical services, reputation, build preference and awareness, and contribute to profitable clinical activity
•    Work with direction from the marketing team to implement specific tactics related to market plans for service lines and the organization (e.g., email campaigns, advertising placements, etc.)
•    Provide project-level communication for internal and external clients

Brand Management
•    Understand, promote, and use Health Care brand guidelines 
•    Demonstrate consistency and accuracy in assigned projects
•    Assist with social media content ideas and creation in coordination with the social media team

Project Management
•    Deliver projects on time, on budget, and on brand
•    Plan and prioritize deliverables and resources across the department for assigned projects
•    Oversee the activities of the MarCom team for the annual Kid Captain program with UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital. This includes engagement with families and communications from the nomination phase, through game day, to post-season analysis.
•    Organize, monitor, and report progress and impact of assigned projects
•    Gather and prepare reports on key performance metrics for marketing division and client reports 

Financial Responsibility
•    Conduct activities and track marketing spend within defined budget limits and procedures
•    Monitor accounts/expenditures for selected project(s) or program(s)
•    Determine project costs, inclusive of creative development, production and media placement.
•    Provide input to the budget development process.

Communications/Relationship Building
•    Collaborate with other team members in the department of marketing and communications in support of marketing objectives: strategic communications, digital and multimedia services, outreach and engagement
•    Serve as key liaison with external partners, including digital and email vendor partners.
•    Serve on committees, boards and other groups representing UI Health Care and the Marketing and Communications Department, as requested

Supervision/leadership
•    May provide direction, assignments, feedback, and coaching to ensure objectives are achieved

Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Professional experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
•    Knowledge of and professional experience with managing or utilizing web-based (Internet, intranet, social media, etc.) resources, opportunities and challenges.
•    Ability to establish and build healthy working relationships and partnerships 

Desired Qualifications:
•    Demonstrated experience with development and implementation of marketing and communications plans
•    Experience in health care communications, especially with academic medical centers
•    Experience with market trending and analysis
