Community Relations Coordinator - AmeriCorps

The Community Relations Coordinator (CRC) serves as a full-time AmeriCorps member and as an integral part of the Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity office and field teams. The CRC is responsible for many aspects of public relations and outreach for the affiliate, as it seeks to build increased capacity in the community on an annual basis. Major duties relate to helping improve processes for attracting, maintaining and deepening community support, as well as attending affiliate awareness functions, generating supporter thank-you notes, maintaining social media presence, updating affiliate websites, maintaining affiliate support records, researching opportunities for new support both within the community and beyond, and creating various types of communication and graphic content for various outreach functions—all with the intent of enhancing Habitat’s standing in the community and adding value to the services provided to Habitat partner families and other stakeholders.
