You’ll work on a team of four creative, energetic and enthusiastic email marketers that daily look for new ways to use marketing automation systems and other digital marketing tools to craft the next generation of digital marketing campaigns. Position objectiveThe Email Marketer role is a key individual contributor to the creation, design and execution of email marketing programs.



Typical work-related activities include:

  • Design emails, email components and digital marketing campaign programs to maximize results, adjust images, optimize mobile-friendliness, ensure the HTML meets ACT’s digital brand standards and marketing brand standards
  • Program and create email marketing and landing page contact forms to maintain clean marketing database and data mining, using marketing automation system directly for email nurturing and drip campaign configurations
  • Create, deduplicate, and segment database lists for use in email marketing campaigns
  • Develop email marketing campaign testing techniques to optimize marketing campaign performance
  • Use marketing technology systems to analyze campaign outcomes in detail, including ROI, using a variety of software applications
  • Measure, monitor, determine, and report email and digital marketing campaign progress and outcomes on a consistent basis to the appropriate Marketing team; change and adapt email marketing campaigns as appropriate
  • Collaborate with marketing staff, website team, technology staff, and other internal teams that manage other campaign components and channels, Salesforce automation tool, brand management, social media, audience lists, graphic design, social media, and exhibits and events that may be associated with email marketing campaigns
  • Draw insights and present marketing campaign results clearly to recommend campaign refinements or next steps
  • Use critical thinking skills to execute the strategic and tactical creation of marketing campaign contact forms and the flow of data into Salesforce or other technologies
  • Execute webinar setup and facilitation using online webinar technologies


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, or related field required
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired


  • Minimum two years’ related experience required
  • Experience with email marketing and delivery systems
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, digital image manipulation, email and landing page creation, contact form creation
  • Experience in analysis and reporting of email results
  • Familiar with CAN-SPAM requirements
  • Familiar with modern web/interactive design trends
  • Additional experience with marketing automation systems such as Marketo, Pardot or HubSpot preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong HTML/CSS skills, email and web design abilities using user experience (UX) design and accessibility principles
  • Proven ability to communicate a brand digitally through email, e-media, online advertising, websites, and web pages
  • Ability to manage and use marketing databases and understand database segmentation
  • Data analytics abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret written material including the recognition of technical terms and jargon
  • Exceptional collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to set goals and priorities and manage multiple and complex projects
  • Ability to identify creative solutions to complicated problems
  • Superior verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage stress effectively
