Job Information:

The Corridor Business Journal, a weekly business publication in the Creative Corridor, seeks an enterprising reporter to cover business news throughout the Corridor’s seven-county area.

The reporter will be responsible for developing and cultivating sources within the Johnson County area, and will be expected to produce both daily and enterprise stories. The reporter is expected to be digital forward, building and delivering CBJ content across platforms, and will contribute to a weekly television partnership with CBS2/FOX 28. Proofing, photography, video and digital production skills are big pluses.

The ideal candidate must be flexible, inquisitive and a strong writer with high production. The candidate must also be attentive to detail and thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, while also remaining open to coaching and continuous improvement. The reporter will be expected to have excellent news judgment, and regularly find scoops and watchdog sources and issues.

At least three years journalism/news reporting experience is required. Must be an AP style expert, and have a basic knowledge of HTML and WordPress. Social media, photography and/or Adobe Creative Suite skills are preferred, but not required.
